Seven young people have started their training at Paderborn University. They will be trained in four different fields in the university's offices for the next three years.
From 1 August up to and including 1 September, students and prospective students from the Ostwestfalen-Lippe (OWL) region can apply for a social scholarship from the OWL Study Fund Foundation. This programme supports financially needy students for one year with 150 euros per month and comprehensive non-material support within a large network.

From 18 to 22 August, children aged between 8 and 13 can go on a journey of discovery at Paderborn University: The "Vielfalt stärken" summer camp offers a colourful programme prepared and run by student teachers.
In order to meet the growing demand for affordable student accommodation, 49 modern individual flats subsidised by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia are being built directly on the Paderborn University campus. Paderborn students will move into these on 1 August.
